The funniest thing about this is that in the manga, Cid knew Shadow Garden would send Delta after John Smith. So to prepare he took a deep bath and doused himself in perfume like a whore in a heat wave in order to overcome her sense of smell so that he could fool her and continue his little roleplay- AND IT STILL WASN'T ENOUGH! Her sense of smell was so sharp she still figured out John Smith was her beloved boss.
