This reminds me of my own "Joe" he was my first real friend and the first person I truly opened up to. My entire life back then revolved around hanging out with him. Yet time happened and we grew apart, Joe in this instance became unrecognizable, we share none of the same hobbies, social groups, or even personality traits now, we both found new friend groups and moved on. Every time I try to catch up he's always too busy or there's too much of a gap now between us. I just wished I could still talk to him the same way I used to.
