In this video, I go over in detail the herbicides and amendments I use for food plot maintenance and improving habitat for whitetailed deer. I go over glyhosate, glufosinate, chlethodim, Fusilade DX, 24D, Enlist One, Triclopyr, Simazine, and Explorer and Accent Q herbicides. You can use this as a reference for using herbicides on your food plots and habitat projects.

Great job!!! Wow I have a lot of learning to do. Not enough money or time to do each step…so I’ll do my best.

Great explanation on the chemicals. Just so im understanding right. after a fall and following spring green up burn down and dirt work done. Soil temp is correct Seed is broadcasted and pressed in. You can then spray simasine on area the same day and it won't harm the seed?

I’m wondering why simazine allows the switchgrass seed to germinate. Thanks

Good information! I planted black oil sunflowers this spring, it's about 4" tall, and I'm wondering if there is anything I can use to control weeds? Thanks

Tom....a final question. What is the best practice to change from spraying RU and 2-4-D to a fungicide for apple trees? I currently rinse with water, then with water and some soap, and then again finally with one more water rinse, I'm always worried about damaging my apple trees. I just wondered what you would recommend. Thanks, Bob
