Writing Tips: How to Achieve Exponential Growth

I worry that writers today are too worried about how they are going to make an impact....

The world is so big, the market is so crowded, and the competition has never been stronger.

That's why you need to be *consistent* first and foremost. If you are going to be continuously creative, you have to show up and do the work every day.

When you do that, you start to acheive this exponential growth. Consistency is key. Publishing for days and weeks and years allows anyone who finds you to then consume EVERYTHING you've been building over the time you've been working.

I have seen authors build careers off this. They write a whole lot for free and then "all of a sudden" they are able to launch books with unprecedented success.

The other thing you need to understand is that these writing platforms - Medium, Facebook, Twitter - they all NEED you to survive. You are contributing to the community when you show up!

I understand your point but how do you manage your time in all those social mediums? I deactivated my Facebook, because I was sick and tired of all the messages they were forwarding. It's nice that people want to comment on what I write, but when you get big number, it gets to be too much. I am your fan at Medium and just subscribed here, although I had been watching the videos before I did.
