Trump winning the popular vote would indicate a 5-8% shift across the entire country. There would be some serious questions if the shift occurred in every state from California to Maine to Nebraska but did not move at all in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

At least the way the electoral vote is set up ensures that California and New York don’t get to choose for the entire U.S.

I live in California, and wish that the San Francisco Bay Area and LA didn’t get to choose for the whole state. The majority of the rest of CA is red, believe it or not.

I like the electoral vote.
Just not sure the whole state should give all of their electoral votes for the entire state, just because one county is so big.

The Trump campaign is providing an example of how to win an election regardless of whether it is by Electoral College or (in the future possibly) by Popular Vote. If the Popular Vote is somehow made to replace the Electoral College, it just means that campaigns will have to change up their strategies. Trump will show that Republicans with the right candidate and strategy can still win with either method of voting.

Didn't really know this guy or care for him initially but he seems very composed and intelligent. At a minimum he's a good speaker. I've definitely come around to him especially after listening to him on a couple of podcasts.
