How to Control Phragmites

Judith Jones, Coordinator of the Manitoulin Phragmites Project, shows how to identify Phragmites and demonstrates effective techniques to control its spread. Phragmites (say "frag-MITE-eez") has been called Canada's worst invasive plant. It is capable of growing so densely that it eliminates existing natural vegetation, threatening habitat, aesthetics, property values, infratructure, and more.
