The Medical Family Therapy program is a unique approach to overall health that addresses the biological, psychological, social and spiritual health of patients and their families in a medical setting. Chickasaw Nation medical family therapists are specially trained to discuss a wide range of issues with patients, from depression and anxiety to questions about their diagnosis or treatment plan. As an integral part of the clinical health care team, medical family therapists work together with doctors, nurses and case managers to assist the patient in reaching his or her physical and mental health goals. They also help patients connect to resources that can help them lead happier and healthier lives.
