It's nice to see cops having fun. I played hockey 10 years ago for the police in Blind River Ontario for the OPP. Usually, they have their own goaltender. This day, they did not. I was at the car repair shop getting a safety done to my car. I was there waiting for it. In walked this one police officer I regularly play with. He was all decked out in his official police gear, complete with flak jacket. The lady behind the desk asked him if he wanted to make an appointment. He said, "No", and then he turned to me and with an index finger pointed he growled "I'm here to see HIM", With a rough and tumble voice, he continued, "I called your house and your wife turned you in and said I could find you here"!! Then, he did a complete 180 and with a very sheepish voice said, "Our goalie called in sick and we were wondering if you'd be a nice guy and play for him". I said that I'd be glad to. Then, knowing hockey was soon to be played, I turned to my mechanic and he said, "You only need a ball joint for your safety. Go home and get your gear and hurry up and play. I'll order the ball joint".
