I'm a pretty young guy who's married. My wife and I believe that keeping Christ at the center of our marriage is the best thing we could do for each other. The biblical command for me to love her like Christ loves the church (sacrificially and selflessly) has made a significant impact on how I treat her and how she treats me. The biblical command of submission is acceptable to her because she finds me a leader worthy of submission. I live for her and she lives for me. We sacrifice and serve each other.

Nothing is perfect though. There are highs and lows. But that's where sacrifice comes in again. When somebody sacrifices for you it cuts deep; it changes you. We work to do that for each other, and it really fuels what we've got.

I get that not everyone believes. I really do. All I can do is testify to how we've cultivated a wonderful marriage because of a sincere faith in the Gospel and what it means. Every year we both look back at our efforts and see that it's all been worth it. We've done that 6 times now. We'd do it all over again because we're building something we're proud of.

You can only control what YOU do, you can't control what your partner does. So, sure, you can be true and faithful and committed, but she can always fuck up so badly you have to leave her. Or vice versa. Shit like this happens every day. Making a video telling people how easy it is to not get divorced is simple. Life is complicated. The best deterrent to marital bliss is to marry the right person the first time around, and your odds at that aren't very good, so choose carefully. The only ones who see marriage as some kind of holy, sacred institution are men. Women see marriage as a business and a retirement plan. If your partner is so 100% "committed" to you, why on earth do you need to get married?! You can just live together. Why do you think your wife demands to have a legal paper to say you're married?
