I discuss the season finale to the 2025 Hulu and Disney+ show created by Dan Fogelman which stars Sterling K Brown as Agent Xavier Collins after discovering the president was killed. I give my reaction to the ending with Trent being the killer of Cal Bradford, Xavier getting in the plane and going to the outside, Jane taking out Sinatra, and the importance of the opening scene. The morale of the story is you should never underestimate what a Nintendo fan can do.

Cal's death scene was devastating to watch after we got to love his character with the numerous flashbacks. He had a good heart. He did the best he thought he could do at the time💔

I am so glad we're getting another season! This show has been a treat. I love how much foreshadowing has been subtly front and center from episode 1, that Eli/Trent has made his presence known to the viewer in practically every episode. I had a feeling he had a bigger role to play in the story. That's something I've loved about all of the big reveal on this show, Dan shows us what he has up his sleeve long before, but subtle enough that most of us won't catch all the clues that were snuck into the show until a rewatch. Just enough to keep us curious but not enough to see the full picture until it is time to show it off. I can't wait to see what is in store for next season.

Xavier messed up by not double tapping Sinatra, Jane intentionally left her alive by shooting her with a non lethal shot and telling her she’s no use to her dead but basically suggesting that now she will be manipulating Sinatra moving forward since she’s her most lethal weapon a psychopathic genius killer. Now Sinatra still alive and holds power once recovered but he real issue is what she plans to do once she realizes Jermey plans to rise to political power by exposing her without Xavier there to protect him. Will be an interesting season 2.

The “librarian” backstory was well done . That was my favorite reveal.

This season was 10/10. Great writing, great performances by Sterling K. Brown and James Marsden, the symbolism, and character emotions. A top show, up there with *The Boys*, IMO! Thank you for your reviews! Without them, I would have missed this show.

Thank you for pulling this together and simplifying it a bit. There were so many moving parts that it would have taken me a while to wrap my head around all of it! You helped making it more enjoyable for me!

I love Paradise. I have no complaints until episode 8. I think pacing was a bit rushed only for this episode. I think the presentation of the information was creatively executed. I think Trent being the person to kill Cal is logical and a good callback to episode 1. It mirrors one of the main themes of paradise, a false sense of security/safety. Everyone thought this reporter was no longer a threat. Another theme that echoed is morals and ethical dilemma. The reporter saw the dangers of working at the site and wanted to protect the workers. However, he killed two innocent people to get into paradise. He killed cal as revenge. Most of us aren’t all good or all bad. We are sometimes victims of circumstance. This show challenges the villain/hero tropes over and over again.

How did the librarian sneak into the president's house? Some of the guards were asleep or playing Wii but isn't everything locked up? Did he know the cameras were off? Why doesn't security notice the cameras were off for 90 minutes or whatever, and that it happens every night, or at least frequently? All done off screen. Did not like that part. I mean, it's the answer to the mystery of the show. Could have done a better job.

I still have my Wii, and if something should ever happen to it....I totally get it 😂😂

The "piano piece" you mentioned playing over the murder, was the VERY appropriate "Another Day in Paradise" played on piano. It was repeated in a sung slow version again at the end. As i saud, perfectly appropriate for the how.

This episode should have been titled, “Never Get Between a Sociopath and Her Wii”.

It was an excellent episode although I do think last week’s was better. That was like an entire movie in about an hour.

One thing I would have liked to have seen in this episode was whether Sinatra’s family found out the truth about her after she was shot. It would have taken only a minute to show it. As it is, it was left rather ambiguous.

Part of me thinks they must know about at least part of her culpability since Jeremy revealed to everyone that she ordered the murders of the four explorers. I mean, how did they explain why she was shot?

It would be poetic justice if Sinatra woke up from her coma only to find that her daughter won’t speak to her and her husband is divorcing her because of the things she’s done since, according to her, she was only doing what was “necessary” to protect them and give them a good life.

What a crazy character that Sinatra is, huh? Thank goodness we don’t have an unhinged billionaire running America in real life! I mean, phew. Am I right?

One of the best moments from the finale was the former VP getting fed up. He said just one word, “Enough!” But, he may as well have said, “So help me, I will turn this car around if you kids don’t knock it off!”

Best “Irritated Dad” voice ever.
