hosts file is an operating system file that maps hostnames with IP addresses. It is a plain text file.
Editing of hosts file is little tricky, because its a system file, and administrator access is required in order to edit it.

hosts file path = C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc

To edit the hosts file please follow belowmentioned steps.

1. Type notepad in windows search box.
2. Once icon appears, right click on it, then select run as administrator.
3. In Notepad, Go to file menu, then select open.
4. Now go to c drive, Windows, system 32, drivers and etc. Here you will find hosts file.
5. If hosts file is not visible then, select all files option from the dropdown menu as indicated.
6. Double click on hosts file.
7. As you can see it is a plain text file with hostnames and IP addresses.
8. To edit hosts file, simply type your changes, then save it.

I don't know its worked or not, , but saved another *hosts* file with extension *.txt*
