When you are really sad then even the slightest trigger can turn on the waterworks. When I last went through the grieving process I made a tiny mistake on a painting that was easily fixable. And I just burst into tears and smashed the whole canvas. And another time I couldn't find my shoes and I just sat in the doorway and bawled for half an hour. So a student forgetting a dance when you find out your mother is really sick would do the trick.

Just a theory but this could be the reason why maddie was so worked up, forgot her dance and reacted with a panic attack backstage. After all she was pretty close to mrs Miller.

That actually makes more sense Abby would've been pretty mad that Maddie forgot It makes more sense for her to be crying about her mother being sick than about one of her students forgetting a solo

She always looked at Maddie as her daughter there is no denying that. Abby received bad news about her mom and then her favorite student forgot her solo and then candy apple makes a huge fuss about it. No denying that it was a trigger.
I think there is more to Abby than we all really know. I'm not denying she could of treated these girls better but at the same time she had a huge heart for them, especially Maddie. I also secretly think she is proud of ALL of them despite probably never admitting it. Really hope she does a better job at showing it in these upcoming seasons.

if u see the clip of abby crying in the audience in the actual episode, u can see that kelly is looking directly at the camera man and getting mad. maybe it was because abby was going through a rough time, and she was getting frustrated that the camera men record everything, even when personal.

The moment in the carepark with Abby leaving and abandoning the group makes so much more sense under the context of Abby's mother being diagnosed with Cancer. Abby's frantic and is crying while the moms are concerned too. The show made it look like that she was being a coward and was escaping the confrontation. But what actually happened now makes perfect sense seeing it.

It is still not okay for Abby to cry for one mistaken solo and get angry and the others. She still has favouritism, but now we know what was really going on in the carpark.

My understanding was, Maddie forgot on the second run. Every dance is done twice. Once for judging and once for filming. You can tell which it is because for the judging dance cameras aren’t allowed near the stage. The camera is practically on top of her when she walks off so it was the filming round. And if anyone is interested, somewhere here on YouTube you can find the unedited Maddie’s fall on her butt on the gym floor (she gets up immediately and finishes the dance) and the Maddie and Brynn keep dancing after the music stops (music never stopped).

Episode 2 please can u do what Abby really said to Chloe in season 4 of dance moms for example when Christi screamed the f word "17 times" I heard that a clip was cut out of Abby saying "I will destroy you" to chloes face and that is why she was crying. Also what Abby really said to Christi at the end of nationals season 4 about her eye
