In this video I am showing everything I know about leveling up and boosting your XP in Fallout 76. Having double XP is a great way to go from level 1 to 50 or 50 to 100 and beyond. I hope this helps you out and if it does then don’t forget to subscribe.

So in short terms as a solo player don't be solo, and as a level one out of the vault, just start as a fully levelled endgame character.

A comment for starting players. Coming out of the vault on the way to "The Wayward", I pick all the blue soot flowers and sell them to the wayward to get a few caps. At flatwoods, the guy locked in the fridge tells you where his cap stash is. If you go to camp McClintock, their is the large water purifier plan in the overseers stash box. A higher level player can buy a fusion generator plan for under 200 caps and sell it to you, otherwise, I can't find them until around level 30. I farm purified water to get most of my caps and also sell excess chems and golfer clothes. You can sell weapons but I usually scrap them for mods and steel at lower levels. If you take over the workshop at the dirt track, you unlock a water purifier that doesn't have to be placed in water, but it produces slow and only holds 2 purified water at a time.

To what end other than obtaining level 50, which gives you better weapons and armor should a player want to level up faster. Beyond level 50 everything remains the same except the increase in difficulty when confronting enemies. I would say, if your below 50, take your time and do the missions, open up your map locations for fast travel options and learn to understand how the weapons, armor and perk cards with other items such as food, drinks, meds work in conjunction with each other while you are exploring the countryside. Once you are 50 and above, you can take on the most difficult events and in most cases solo BOSS creatures.

Last month my low level guy was 18.
28 days later I’m 145.
The events I’m going to everyone pops a lunchbox like freaking 10 at a time and with my grande launcher I pick up xp like crazy.
Other low level guy’s are literally leveling up in front of me.
Best advice…go to events and hang back toss exploding whatever for xp.

Also, what i do a lot of the time is do high level Events like the BoS Event (forgot the name) and it’s such an easy way to get top tier weapons, I’m level 12 with a 3 star anti armor single action revolver and a berserkers .44 pistol.
It may be annoying and or rude to people who are actually trying to do the event, but that doesn’t really matter to me

I've run into so many level 200+ players that have smashed through the levels but have no idea about Perk Cards, recipe or chem buffs, how to make a specific build, using flux, or where to spend their gold bullion, because they've just done events, then hit West Tek and not bothered with the storyline. (It was even worse when there were legacy weapons. I met a level 1000+ who had basically just played by pointing and shooting and destroying everything, but had absolutely no idea about the game). So unless you're just on Fallout 76 to play events, I would spend the first 50 levels learning the game and exploring the map. I played the first two months as a solo player, (the way I played every Fallout game before this one), and pretty much ignored everything that was going on. In hindsight, that was probably a bit extreme, but it's definitely worth playing the storyline to get through the first 50 levels, but after that, go hell for leather because the higher you level, the more Legendary Perk Cards (LPCs) you get.

FOR NEW PLAYERS: LPCs will either give you a specific buff (make more ammo, poison resistance etc) or you can use them to add to your SPECIAL score and increase the number of normal perk cards you can use. There are 6 x LPC slots and each unlocks at different levels (the 6th unlocks at level 300) and each LPC is increased by using perk coins and you get perk coins by scrapping perk cards (each scrapped card gives 2 x perk coins). Perk cards are awarded when you level up, plus every 5 levels you get a perk card pack with 4 perk cards in it

So... if you have 6 x legendary perk card slots and each legendary card maxed out, that can add 30 additional points to your SPECIAL load out, which makes a huge difference, or have some for particular buffs, depending on your style of play

The rubbish part being that unless you know exactly what cards you want and stick to a single build and play style, you'd be over level 400 before you've accumulated enough perk cards to scrap and max out the LPCs
