“Ultra Instinct came out of nowhere”

Ultra Instinct is a form for Goku that has amazing foreshadowing! It was built up towards throughout all of Dragon Ball Super and even has retroactive connections to the lessons Goku learned in Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z.

"retroactive foreshadow" is a good term for this, Toriyama never plans anything out and leave things vague enough to bring them back later to reuse and connect them making it feel like it was planned out

I love how Goku never Dodges Bulma and actually takes damage from her. Showing that he actively lowers his Ki around her and his friends

You mentioned Goku vs Beers in Super, but didn't state that Goku vs Beers in the original Kami to Kami movie didn't have that "move away" scene. So it was clear Migatte no Goku'i wasn't intended to be hinted as KtK was the 1st new content and there was no plan for a sequel. Considering Toriyama randomly got the urge to make Fukkatsu no F after going to a Maximum the Hormine concert and how the production of Super was rushed after FnF released, Whis hinting at MnG in the FnF movie was not intentionally leading to MnG. It becomes clear when it started in Super during Goku vs Beers.
