GT7: Tuning Guide: Understanding Upgrades

Tuning in Gran Turismo 7 can be a but confusing, I explain everything you need to know and also present information in a much more understandable manner.

GT Auto parts aren't just cosmetic. The wide body affects cornering ability, and it also affects how low you can go with ride height (wheel offsets also do this). The body kit pieces also affect how much downforce the car has, so it's usually in your best interest to run them.

This is a good guide for people playing a numbered Gran Turismo game for the first time.



After a quarter century of playing the games in this franchise, all of this stuff is pure instinct for me. I just know reflexively what to buy for and how to tune each car. It is like a sixth sense developed after tens of thousands of hours invested into this franchise.

Awesome work for the tunning guide, looks proper. I didn't really have a problem my self after a few times I remembered where everything was an the path to get each upgrade. Very hand for newer people for sure

Another tip is change ur LSD not ur traction control. Ur TCS slows down engine revs to keep traction LSD does not giving you more acceleration. An use as little as assist as possible to help ur times ABS is exceptional, and if ur on controller counter steering assist on really does help you but can hinder u but very hard to without

Great video, totally dig that chart you made. It makes it very clear what upgrades are permanent and those that are not. Total shocker a new engine is 100k, and body is 250k. Hell, I have not seen an R32 that expensive anywhere.. LOL, But it is what it is. Great video mate!

Add ballast and cpu …you can go over and then add weight - always but ballast …shifting weight in the car is huge

Did great you did, although, I would like to note that some of those parts that cannot be uninstalled increase displacement. It is most certainly better to install them and tune down using a power restrictor and racing ecu(a combination of the 2 will achieve a min-max on power.)
