Half a year ago, I was going through some shit with myself. I got into college but I was feeling so lost, hopeless and suicidal, turns out I had depression. God, I even thought about killing myself on my birthday, but Trench was recently out and I will listen to it religiously every single day, I even got tickets for their show here in Mexico City and I kept on living thinking about how much I wanted to see them live again.
I love every single song in Trench, but this one has such a special meaning for me, cause it reminds me to my closest friends and how much they helped me and cause it talks about hope, resilience and how it´s okay to be lost for a while, cause eventually, you will find yourself. Back in my darkest days every time I listened, I would think "I really want them to play this on the show, if they do it I´ll be sure I´m gonna be fine".

A lot of stuff happened in six months, I got to therapy thanks to my college best friend and got diagnosed and treated and it was amazing. I became a happier person, a better human being and I got back a lot of the confidence I lost in the way.
Anyway, the show was last friday and it was such an amazing experience. I met some of the coolest people in the world, I was with one of my best friends and I even touch fingers with Tyler in Car Radio, but the best thing was when they played "The Hype", cause I broke to hysterical joyful tears and sang with all my heart, and when it finished, I hug my friend and looking at the ceiling of the venue I said "I can´t believe I´m alive. I am alive. I overcome it. I´m here".

Of course, my depression ain´t gone, and sometimes I still feel lost, but now I know it´s okay. I´m surrounded by amazing people that remind me of my value and that feel me with love. I have so much hope for the future and I know that I will achieve great things. And this song it´s the proof and the reminder of it.

Stay alive, folks. I promise you´ll be just fine. ||-//
