The story of Blurry Face, Nico, Clancy, and the banditos is absolutely mind blowing. No band has ever done this. Especially spanning a story across 4 albums!

To anyone who is interested: The voice of the woman in the beginning is talking in German. She says: "Diese kleine aber heimliche Insel hat mich zu einer Waffe gemacht" which translates to "This small but secret island has turned me into a weapon". The rest is illegible but sounds kind of French. I can clearly hear the word "guerre" which means "war".

when trench was released back in 2018, my younger sister Leah and i woke up early to listen to it before school. we bonded over this band for years and we were so excited once the cryptic clues started coming out for sai in 2021. she took her own life a week before the first single of the album was released. since then i've had such a bittersweet feeling listening to sai. i went to both tours, feeling mournful that i couldn't experience it with her. and now with clancy coming out, im able to connect with my youngest sister, elizabeth, about the one thing that connected all 3 of us. i'll be bringing her to this next tour (assuming there's a detroit date) and im so grateful for tyler and josh for continuing to go above and beyond and connect us in a way that didn't seem possible 3 years ago. Leah might not have been able to see the everything come together on this plane of existence, but i know she would have loved every second of these eras just like i do. thank you ❤️
