Retired 1mo ago from OTR trucking, after doing it for 12yrs. Gotta have patience, a sense of humor, and a dashcam to CYA!! I can honestly say that I don't miss it. I'm going to the gym almost daily, and eating healthy foods. No more yummy corndogs from the Loves truckstops--my first pick to stop/fuel at. Be safe drivers...

What I don't understand is all the roads connect somehow someway and you can always get back to when you need to go if you miss an exit. Truck or not people don't need to risk death for being "slightly incovenienced"

I think that some people are in their own world while driving, they don't realize that physics is still a thing. If you break check a heavy mass (ie a fricking semi) in motion, that object it's going to wake your ass up real fast by smashing you into bits.

9.11 and 9.12, what's the problem? Car signalled long in advance of slowing/turning, and the pickup and cammer would've both been stuck at the red light anyway.
