Man, the hissing sound on this video is horrendous, what's going on?

One of the reasons why I got my Street Triple is because of that 3-cylinder engine. I love the sound of it.

Hi, just a note: the first bike you showed was a Yamaha XS 750 from the 70"s and was a three cylinder 4 stroke. Yamaha made great two cylinder two strokes in that era. I used to own a XS750 back in 1978. Good video, thanks.

I love the sound of a triple. Just like the power and torque is halfway between a 2 or 4 cylinder engine, so is the sound. It’s right in the sweet spot.

Owned 2 MT09’s 19 & 24 and in love with them. Best of both worlds for canyons and street

Team Triple, our bikes are the honey badgers of the motorcycle universe! They sound incredible, mean, demonic, raspy aggression. Fairly light & nimble. Neck snapping, arm socket ripping torque & acceleration. Enough revs and powerband to haul a$$. All the hooligan energy you can handle. Bikes that are known to scare people, especially the FZ/MT09. Take a special kind of crazy to love & handle these beasts, having some solid brass ones if you catch my drift 😁

I had a triumph tiger 800XC for a while. That was my first experience with the triple. Having owned twins and four cylinders of different sizes in the past, I can say I really liked the sound and power delivery from that triumph motor. The smooth delivery of the engine and decent amount of torque from a three-cylinder makes a great choice for an everyday ride. And of course that sound of the engine never gets old.

I dont normally comment on your vids bud but when I was at college back in the day studying motorcycle mechanics and engineering my tutor at the time said and I quote " the triple(3 cylinder) is the ultimate engine for a motorcycle for power, tourqe and fun and the easiest to work on". Please bear in mind this was in the late 80's😉😉

My 1980 Suzuki GS550 was a 3 cylinder when I first bought it, until I fixed the stuck float needle on number two carb. Works much better as a 4.

Street Triple 765RS owner, i went with a three cylinder because it just behaved differently and sounded different. I came from a CBR600, and didnt like the parallel twins that are popular these days. I love it!

Been riding for many years ( 60 plus ) and four bangers cause my nose to tingle. Two bangers depending on firing order in degrees tire out my hands and arms. Singles get your lower back and butt.
Now I acquired a triple a few thousand miles back and was pleasantly surprised by how smooth it is. Some how the harmonics of this engine configuration does not cause any of the above problems for me.
I was surprised by the amount of torque and how far down in the rev range it comes in. Seems the best of both worlds in that torque is always available and it will still wrap up like a big four cylinder.
Needless to say I am very impressed with this CP3 engine in my Yamaha MT09. PS I would also recommend this bike to anyone with riding experience.

I have owned the Triumph Rocket 3 TFC for 4 years now and it still brings the grins! What a masterpiece that engine is!

I have the Speed Triple 1200 RS. I love to ride it based on torque in the mountains, and based on power/rpm on the race track. Both is possible and that's just fantastic.

As a former owner of several twins and 4cyl bikes, everything from SV650s, CBR600S, GSXR1000s and even a ZX12R, I now ride a XSR900 with the CP3 and a Black Widow full system... And it's absolutely glorious. 🫡

I’ve enjoyed the smooth power very much with my 19 Tracer Gt. 27 thousand miles of practical transportation that has helped my risk management skills around Florida.

Me and Triples were not exactly love at first sight. My first contact was a demo ride with an XSR900 and I found it terrible. Raw power and zero refinement. Then a while later I tried a Street Triple 675 and immediately fell in love. I've had my Streety for 6 years now and it's my favourite bike that I'd never give away. And so often when I was riding it I was thinking to myself, the Triple is the perfect motorcycle engine. As you say -- torque at every rev, smooth and even power delivery, and in case of the Streety I just love that special happy "trill".

Extremely happy with my Triumph Rocket 3. Tons of torque all the way across the rev range and a very unique, raspy exhaust note under load.

I just picked up a Trident Triple Tribute as my return to biking after ~20 years and I am so happy I made that choice. Almost had a 24 Husqy 401 but they kept getting delayed. I made the right choice for sure. This engine sounds glorious and the bike will do anything I ask of it.

Love my Tiger 900 gt, nice and smooth triple. Smoother than the parallel twin I used to have.

The 1050 triple by Triumph is still my favorite.
