Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Mopar Sway Bar disconnect removal repair fix test

Sway Bar disconnect repair fix test Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
Typical swaybar disconnect not working on a 2012 Rubicon. If you push the sway bar button and it keeps flashing, even if you rock the car side to side your sway bar disconnect may need cleaning. If the swaybar light is flashing, it has not completed its connect or disconnect.
I just picked this one up, apparently water got into it and rusted up the components inside, the actuator motor was in good working order, last one I repaired the actuator motor brake had a broken wire.
I take the motor actuator off first and test it, after I knew that worked (cost over $1000) I tried to push the shift fork to dis-engage the sway bar fork (about 20 lbs force) and its seized up pretty good, so out comes the whole assembly. You can not split the unit apart with it bolted in the Wrangler and it needs to be cleaned and greased up anyway.
After cleaning, wire brushing, wire wheeling and greasing it all up, assembled and it's working better than new! With a lot more grease. (Chrysler is pretty cheap on the grease use)
Whole job took about 2 hours and it's very easy to do, not bad considering what a shop would charge!
Work done so far:
I repaired the sway bar disconnect. This video!
Found out the clock spring is under (extended warranty through Jeep, so it is replaced free if defective.
Mountain goat series 3” spring lift and some Joyroad MT200 35” tires. They work GREAT! 2nd Jeep I installed them on.
Skyjacker shocks installed
