Amanda Seyfried as Sophie Sheridan in "Mamma Mia!"

She blew me away, because she not only nailed the ABBA songs but she managed to get the aspect of the Sophie character down pat.

I would add to this list: Taron Egerton, Luke Evans, Chris Pine, and the Master of them all: Ewan McGregor. No movie moment will ever make me fall in love as fast as I did when he started that first line of "Your Song" in Moulin Rouge.

Catherine Zeta-Jones *and* Renee Zellweger were absolutely incredible in "Chicago". Their chemistry, voice prowess, and dancing skills were out of this world!

And, while I'm at it, Queen Latifah's "When You're Good To Mama" song in that film was *epic*.

No honorable mention for Taron Egerton? The way he immerses himself into Elton John is perfection

Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix had the doubly hard tasks of not only singing but capturing the style and essence of a famous singer. And they both did it beautifully.

Let's not forget Nicole Kidman and Ewan MacGregor in Moulin Rouge. Both absolutely amazing!!

The Rock in Moana - I know "You're Welcome" isn't exactly a pure vocal masterpiece, but I was quite shocked at how well Dwayne Johnson could carry a tune in that movie.

The biggest surprise I ever had listening to an actor sing was when Jim Nabors sang The Impossible Dream as Gomer Pyle. It was absolutely incredible and mystifying that it came out of Gomer Pyle. It doesn't hurt that the Man of La Mancha is my favorite musical and the song is just awesome. And I realize that Jim Nabors was a classically trained singer, at the very least, but still, it was an amazing performance.

Here's one, Hugh Laurie. Comedian, dramatic actor and jazz musician (or is it blues) that even has a few albums.
Honorable mention to Jake and Elwood Blues.

What about Sissy Spacek in Coal Miner's Daughter? You are aware she did all her vocals AND won the Oscar for Best Actress that year! I remember being shocked that she sang at all!
How did she not make this list?

Anne Hathaway singing Somebody to Love was the only reason I bought Ella Enchanted on DVD. The amount of times I replayed just that scene!

No Zooey Deschanel? Her singing voice in Elf when she sang “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” is very beautiful to listen to. Heck, it’s so beautiful it even made Will Ferrell sing along.

Emma Stone should really sing in more projects, she's got a fantastic voice, and even won her Oscar for starring in a musical.

_Chicago_ just wouldn't be the same without Catherine Zeta Jones. She's the main reason "Cell Block Tango" is as good as it is.

I'm gonna assume Val Kilmer is all over this list. The Doors, Prince of Egypt? But it's really no surprise I guess, he's just pure talent.
