I know that we're still adjusting the culture towards the proper pronouns, but I do wish that people would not refer to pre-transition Eliot Page by his male identity when showing old clips like these: It's as if they're saying 'He was functioning as a woman back then, but he didn't fool us'. Would 'Ellen-as-was' be an appropriate retrospective term?
It was a bigger step than switching from Paul Von Henreid or Cassius Clay, but the change process and the effort involved deserves some sort of acknowledgement.
