Dimash's dream since he was a child has been to show the Kazakh culture to the world. There's an interview of him as a boy talking about his dream of singing a Kazah song in America some day. That night Dimash's dream came true and he was overwhelmed with emotion. He didn't expect a stadium of mostly Americans to know the Kazakh lyrics so when we continued singing after the "ah-ah-ah-ah Dididau" part he was in shock. Just look at his face... If you watch the entire concert he gives a speech after singing that song telling it's significance to him and thanking us for making his dream come true. 💕

It isn't that the song itself makes some people cry, the Bastua version, is one preformance of a 4 hour concert Kazakhstan hosted for Dimash following his success in China. Dimash is singing for his country, to and with his country men. When we say makes some cry, it isn't sadness, It's s because Dimash being honored and shows how grateful and touched he is, the tears are ones of empathy Gloria Wu has a version shows the back story

Secondo me non ha importanza avere per forza una collocazione con qualcosa che ti è capitato o meno perché quello che regala Dimash è pura emozione sia che conosci i testi o meno ... la sua gratitudine il suo pianto verso i suoi Dear che cantano con Lui non ha prezzo ❤ lo amo anche per questo

Дорогой Пол! На концерте, который назывался «Бастау» (Астана, 27 июня 2017 г.) в самом начале сто прекрасных казахских юношей играют на домбре музыку под названием «Адай». Домбра это казахский национальный народный инструмент. Он имеет всего две струны, но на нем можно сыграть любую мелодию. Димаш тоже виртуозно играл на домбре, а потом передал инструмент красивой девушке и начал петь песню. /// Песня «Дайдидау» долго считалась народной. Но у стихов есть автор – казахский поэт Магжан Жумабаев. У него трагическая судьба. Он был репрессирован, осужден на 23 года как политический заключенный и расстрелян в 1938 году. Из тюрьмы он написал письмо своей жене в виде стихов, где сравнивал ее красоту с «луной». Слово «дайдидау» ничего не значит в казахском языке. Предполагают, что этим словом Поэт ласково называл свою жену. /// Димаш поет эту песню на всех своих сольных концертах. Эта песня, как и песня «С.О.С.» является его визитной карточкой. Особенно мне понравилось его выступление в Нью-Йорке 10 декабря 2019 года. Там зрители со всего мира дружно пели на казахском языке эту песню вместе с Димашем. Зря ты посмотрел фанатскую запись.
