Национальные музыкальные инструменты вначале передают звуки ночной степи, по которой идут солдаты. Это вой волков, лай собак, крики птиц журавлей, шум ветра и звуки воды, ручья... А вокализ Димаша передаёт традиционный плач в дни бедствия, потому что угнаны были практически каждый 10 молодой мужчина на чужую войну, в неизвестность, без знания языка, культуры...

For me this is Dimash. Every song that Dimash sings is beautiful but I prefer it when he sings the songs of his country. The Tokyo version is my favorite. If you close your eyes when listening to this version a whole movie plays of in your imagination. This is a masterpiece of art.

Samaltau, it is one of the most beautiful song ever from Dimash. I love all his songs without any doubt, but this is more special. When I heard it for the first time, even without knowing the background of the story behind it, I couldn't manage my tears. During the entire song, I cried, and I had the feeling that I am living all the kind of emotions from our ancestors. This is a very impactful and emotional song with deep roots. Many times, I get so worried about Dimash, because as you could see in all his performances he gives his 100%, and I have the feeling like he won't last for a long time. Like always as they said: "Good people die first!"
