Coming over from Android and I will say.. the keyboard is a thing I hate though the most on iphone. Not being to long press keys for symbols is stupid. Even Gboard is limited too what I had on my s22

Just switched to ios and I'm REALLY fed up how few things you can customize on the swiftkey app. Android gives you a ton of customization - apple fucked it up.

The keyboard gripe for me is not being able to resize the apple or other keyboards you mentioned. The huge bottom bar doesn't help either. Android allows you to resize and as more vital options to it's apple version. I just hate this.

Does the gboard display the comma in the main keyboard? Or is it dumb as the Apple one?

Gboard allows you to customize the keyboard as well like Microsoft. You can add your own theme etc

just switched to iphone 15 from S20+ and i can say the keyboards on ios are garbage. swiftkey isnt as customizable. i cant long press the keyboard letters for special symbols. i have to keep reaching down and pressing the 123 option to get into the symbol options. slight annoyances like that which make ios keyboards inefficient.

The Apple keyboard does NOT have a number row or the comma and period on the main keyboard.
I'm gong ot install Gboard and hope it works!!!

The one thing I really hate about iphone keyboard is lack of support of other languages. Especially in my main language. Such a pain to type.

Google keyboard probably the best alternative, but it cant move cursor fluently with long press space button like iPhone keyboard did

Personally the swipe text on my iPhone is terrible. And why when I type “I love you” to my wife, does Apple change out to I line or like you? So annoying

The best thing about iphones is that it has the most limiting keyboard in a phone 😂

They made gboard's best features disappear like the almost PC like capability in the copy-paste department. It's ability to control the cursor in a surgical manner. Apple also removed gboard's clipboard capability and save it for an indefinite time. Apple messed up all keyboard so you will no choice but to use it's proprietary keyboard which is so limiting.

The stock iphone keyboard would be just fine if it weren't for that stupid bottom right key, the one that opens up the swirly text thing that's useless. I'm not sure what that is called, and I hit it ALL the time when I'm typing in landscape mode. Does anyone know what that "feature" is called, and how to remove it from the keyboard? I just want to backspace without that confounded screen popping up.

I just want to know why my damn keyboard changed and I can’t change it back. The buttons are bigger and more annoying now, the predictions at the top can’t be removed anymore, and it has a big long list instead of the three like before, and the swipe to type and autocorrect dropped by about 100 iq points. Why can’t I just go back two days to the regular keyboard
