It continues to amaze me that some people will read the books, do the classes, and still call in and ask if they should take out debt.

I went to the car dealership because I wanted to replace my civic for a small suv. The dealership told me to keep the car and wait because it's ridiculous pricing rn.. Not all car dealerships are evil lol.

I bought a Ford E-150 for $3800 in 2015 with 200k miles on it. It remains my most reliable vehicle. I use it for my business almost daily.

I followed this advice bought a $2000 car from a “mechanic” it broke down the next day… I was stranded on the highway! Only buy a $2000 car from someone you know and trust, or who may be elderly. Also stick with the reliable makes and models Honda accords, Toyota Camrys etc…

I’m leasing from ford and asked my dealer how to get out of it. He recommended I buy it and sell it because for the first time ever lease vehicles are ending with equity. I took out a loan to buy it for $23k. I turned around and sold it to carmax for $34k the same week and bought an $11k car basically just turning in my lease. Feels great!

My previous car, which I had for around 5 years up until 2022, was a 2002 Honda CRV. I bought it from a mechanic who had bought it for his daughter (she didn't like it) for $2200. It had 220, 000km on it. I put almost 180, 000km on it before it packed it in (the frame rusted out, it was still running fine), and it never left me stranded. Other than gas, insurance and oil changes, I had to put maybe $3000-$4000 total in maintenance over the 5 years.

There are a lot of people questioning the $2, 000 car route but if you put the time in, you can find a good car. I bought the truck I currently drive for $2500. It’s an old Ohio DOT truck, 06 Sierra. I bought it on a govt auction site, put used tires on and saving $430 a month getting rid of my lease. This is not that hard.

He could easily find a good full time nursing position in Dallas and get off the road as a travel nurse.

The lady that made $500k in a year is absolutely insane!!

The insurance part sucks. I paid my car off a year ago and still keep full coverage on it because I can't afford to replace it if something were to happen.
