Thank you for sharing this!!! I signed up for one of your learn-with-me sessions but I couldn't attend due to my schedule. It made it hard to sign up for formal classes too so for months, my Spanish learning process had been stagnant. This vid really helped in rethinking how I can create my own strategy in learning the language.

I also agree with what Nadine said about the difference of being in the same space with co-learners compared to just learning with each other virtually. I did a formal online class in December but I found it really challenging to find solid support from my peers. It was also good that you brought up bilingual teachers because it's something that I never thought of at all. Having a native teacher does have its pros but I never considered that hey having a competent bilingual teacher could be a great option since they've gone through what I'm going through too hahaha

Great content! I have been living here in Spain for quite few years, I understand 95 percent of the convo, only when there is new words I haven’t encountered yet involve. BUT somehow when trying to speak I feel ‘stuck’ and ‘paralyzed’, all of a sudden all the words, the grammar that I have learn is gone, no where to be found. It would be nice, if we create a community for filipinos in Spain (Madrid) for people who would like to just spend time and speak Spanish together without any shame ornpressure, only for those who are really interested. I know many people who have been living here for many years and they get-by by speaking English in a spanish country.

Thanks for this very relatable content! Very fun to hear it from people who have also managed to advance on their own despite challenges! i.e., lack of physical exposure to the language and classmates not enrolling 🤣 jaja!
