We're all familiar with strategies for a successful job interview. Make eye contact, have a firm handshake, and so on. But if you're applying for a position in China, it might be a computer you have to impress. That's as Chinese companies increasingly use artificial intelligence to help them vet potential new hires.

Artificial intelligence has been suggested for interviews to eliminate bias of individual interviewers. The risk is bias in the algorithms.

Why your correspondence/China expert/consultant ALWAYS non China based personnel? Prerequisites for biased reporting?

I’ll give this one a “monster maybe”… The false negatives are what concern me the most. That is, if you are reasonably well-qualified, but you have a facial-expression “tick” that the AI weighs too heavily against, you may never be given a fair chance at the job.

Job is only first step to go trade.
When you got your trade you don't need your job anymore

Just because China has mastered it everyone is concerned although west has been using more intrusive application of AI.

Now you only need to learn how to score well with the algorithm because it doesn’t seem to care for content nor the person

It is showed that AI is actually not that good in emotional expressions of humans, so this choice is informed entirely from a financial perspective. It will prove to be more discriminatory and disastrous.

I guess AI likes honey bears, that's how the president got the job.

If we will be able to replace 90% of human workforce what will happen to the people? Will people just sit around and wait for their daily porrage to eat or what? What is the point of completely dehumanize industries and get rid of the human factor, how is that serving humanity?

giving AI the authority to decide if someone is worthy of a having a job is a pretty bad thing in my opinion, just imagine getting turned down from companies dozens times without even talking to a real person
