What the f you expect. A nuclear capable B52 bomber flying near the Chinese coastline 8, 000 miles from the U$ mainland.

Why is there a damn bomber near the coast? Sure I don’t like China as much as the next guy, but holding a loaded weapon that close would freak anyone out :/

do bombers usually fly solo or how does that work?

Buff has a radar signature of a dozen F-16s. Provoking a response is what they fly it for.

Some of the comments about this being US provocation, are the pilots scared or what if they flew in our air space; show most people do live under rocks and only receive spoon fed media. Allow me to explain or educate if you will. 1. US provocation: Not at all. How do you control an aggressor? Establish boundaries and enforce them. We did not before and Japan was able to attack all over the Pacific. 2. Scared pilots: Hardly! After 15 years as a paratrooper, 82d ABN, I can attest that aircraft do not fly smoothly. At 10ft., a gust of wind could have easily pushed the fighter or bomber into the other killing all. 3. Air space: The US will fly the edge of 12 mile boundary, but will not penetrate unless necessary to assist a rescue or war time. Russian and Chinese aircraft and navies violate our international boundaries on a regular basis, so much so it is hardly reported unless something like this happens. Stop assuming that every time it is because of US actions. Next time there is a road rage incident because someone failed to maintain their lane or cut you off on purpose to intimidate you, blame yourself for provoking them.

Shocker.
Why would they follow any rules. Seems like they follow the same rules our criminals follow. The victims are now the bad guys.

Saber-rattling - overtly and often exaggeratedly threatening actions or statements (such as verbal threats or ostentatious displays of military power) that are meant to intimidate an enemy by suggesting possible use of force.

It is always the US that leaves its mainland, goes to another country thousands of miles away and when approached, it calls that a provocation😂😂😂😂

When it's Iran

They just checked briefly whether it was edible.

What is a US bomber doing off the Chinese coast? Have you lost your way? How would the US Air Force react if a Chinese bomber appeared off California? Friendly ask to turn around? Greetings from Germany. Grow up and stop playing cowboys
