If you wanna bench 315 then increase your bench to 315 🤯

Yeah I think when I first hit 315, I was able to get around 10 at 225. But instead of focusing on increasing your rep max at 225, put more weight on the bar

i know someone who trained for weeks to hit 225x10x5. 2 days after he hit that for the first time he hit 315 for the first time ever. He never trained above 225 the entire time.

When I hit 315 for the first time i was able to do 225x12 and 275x5, but i had pretty decent bar speed on the 315 so i might’ve been able to hit it a bit earlier

Yup, when I played highschool football I was traing to perform at combines so my 225 max reps were 18-20 but my ORM was only 305😢. Probably just had bad form lol

Could you explain what tips to grow your biceps like frequency and time under tension?

Honestly the rep max to 1rm ratio varies for a lot of ppl based on their muscle fiber types their leverages and ROM. But for me and most ppl generally 5rm is around 88% max and 3rm is around 93-94% ish.

I’ve been training bench now because I’ve been focusing too much on dumbbells. When I started getting into it, I could hit 225x4, consistent training got me to 6 reps. I believed that I can hit 315 just like this video, but I could only push it halfway. More training and I got 10 reps. I didn’t attempt 315 yet but I will try when I feel satisfied pushing 225 like butter.

Yeahh that’s funny lol.. I remember being able to do 225 for 10-12 reps back in high school but still couldn’t get 315 at the time. It took me a while till I could get 315 & beyond it. You have to train a completely different way for building your strength up to be able to lift heavy max lifts. It took me a while & a lot of difficult training to get to my PR best of 345lbs on a bench with a body weight of 152lbs. Though I also competed for strength since I was 17 (currently 27), so it was years of lifting/training to gain ridiculous strength, as well as doing certain types of physical labor since I was a teenager that helped me build that freakish strength (such as logging with my step dad growing up etc etc..). There is definitely a a huge difference in lifting/training to look good, & doing it to gain strength & be really strong.. difference between the two, that most people seem to either overlook, underestimate, or just flat out not realize.. if you want to get strong, learn what goes into achieving that first, with how to start training in the ways to accomplish strength rather than physique, & then start from square one & slowly keep building up. Pro tip for strength training I can give you though.. certain types of physical demanding labors will make you far stronger than any type of gym workouts ever will. That’s exactly why I got so strong for my size (cause I did both my whole life from a young age), & that’s exactly why it’s not uncommon to see these “farm boys” who look lean & skinny be able to show off some incredible feats of strength that don’t seem to match their stature & physique. Cause they’ve built up strong muscles through hard laborious work rather than just pretty muscles that look good.

Yeah I've always been significantly better at reps. For reference my body has definitely always significantly favored cardio over strength, I'm way more talented at running than lifting

i don’t get why people refuse to adhere to progressive overload and genuine choose try skipping like 10, 20, 30, or even 90 whole ass pounds just so they can try and achieve larger numbers on their bench.

Hi Justin how would i experiment with different rep schemes to increase my bench press over a period of time and what exercises would you recommend to increase tricep strength and hypertrophy?

Your right there are alot of times inaccurate unless you've done the weight before .Those are the people who it mainly represents when you get older
