How to quickly and easily remove dust & sensor spots using ONLY Premiere Pro. Plus, if you have a lot of dust spots, I show you how to do it even quicker in After Effects.

With 4K video and mirrorless cameras, it is no longer a question of if you will get a dust spot, but when. Thankfully, with this tutorial you won't have to stress anymore. 😃

Great timing on this video. I just got back from a shoot and about cried when I saw the ridiculous amount of dust on my sensor.

A cannot understand how someone could dislike this. I've tried the other methods Matt mentions and they only work for static shots, thanks for this, will be getting a rocket blower :). Thanks, bacon saved.

when you cleansed your lenses 5x beforehand and realize afterwards that the dust spot was on the sensor...duuugh. Thanks so much Matt, you're a life saver

I rented a Sony A7iv the other week. Amazing footage, but the rental shop didn't clean the sensor between rentals. I had HUGE dirt spots on my lovely 4K footage, but this tutorial has genuinely saved my life. Thank you thank you thank you Matt

Matt, thank You so much! At first i did every step the way You showed and the black spot was stil visible. Then I did some adjustments, turned out for me Radius 5 completely removed the dust spot! So for everyone that doesnt get proper results - experiment with it, find what works for you. Also, if you have a lot of footages (in my case it is whole wedding...yep:-/ ) use the adjustmant leyer. Copy the effect and put the adjustment leyer over every footage at the very end of your editing.

This is so quick. I was previously using 30 keyframes in lrtimelapse with the clone tool and was getting a 70percent removal of dust with 2hours of work. This is 100percent removal in 10mins. Wish I had found this channel earlier. Thanks

I cannot tell you how amazing this video was for me at this moment. I'm currently on a time crunch due to some procrastinating screw up of an employee giving me a video the day it's due to fix a bunch of things and my whole night is saved (at least for this part). I bow to you, good sir! THANK YOU

You're the man. It's like you read my mind. Every time I have a filmmaking issue, you have a video with the answer. Solid.

Thank you so much for this tutorial Matt, you are an absolute legend! I was tearing my hair out thinking I was going to have to completely re-shoot an entire days work because key shots were ruined by dust on my B cam (which I stupidly didn't check!)
A genuinely easy 5 min fix, I'd recommend the AF method over premiere as the masking is a lot less fiddly

DUDE YES THIS IS SO HELPFUL!! Just got done doing mental gymnastics trying to figure out how I was going to fix mine. Was going to try it my own way but luckily I'm subscribed and you came up before I had to do any searching. You're the man

Spent 2 hours trying to get a perfect take for a video because I kept tripping up and making mistakes on the script. I didn't want to have any jump cuts so wanted to do it in one take (because I am annoyingly a perfectionist about my videos). I finally got the perfect take and was so pleased! I got back to my PC to review the footage and had a huge random white spec on my t-shirt despite lint rolling it right before 😂 I was soooo annoyed but this video just saved my sanity. Many thanks 🙏 I wish I had known this effect sooner

I am in the process of editing a wedding video that was shot outdoors and on a terrace. The footage from the second camera had a significant amount of crud on the lens -- needless to say -- This was a life saver! Thank you!

Thanks much for this tutorial! Is it possible to apply the Premiere technique only on a certain frames range of a clip, instead of the whole clip? Thank you!
