Toyota Auris Hybrid 2011 Fuel Consumption

I have made notes on the first 6 months of driving the vehicle, I would top it up every time when I had about 30 miles left in the estimated range. This is a video of the last time showing that the car has covered 431 with about 30.5 liters of petrol.

In total over the 6 months I got an average fuel economy of 4.7 liters / 100 KM (60 mpg uk)

This is with traveling always at the speed limit (i.e. no slower than any other traffic), accelerating without delay and using smooth braking to regenerate the battery. Cruise control typically on anything over 35 mph. I haven't used "power mode", it's typically normal or "eco mode" depending on traffic conditions.

In worst case trips when the car is stuck in traffic for extreme amounts of time (more then 10 mins to cover a mile) the economy drops to about 6.8 l / 100 km (42 mpg - uk)

On the highway maintaining a good speed (within the limit 70 mpg - using the gps) it will do 4.9 l / 100 km (57/58 mpg - uk)
