in Zimbabwe we dollarised to get out of hyperinflation crisis. The Central Bank automatically became ineffective in printing money. Inflation stopped immediately. Politicians however were the first to cry foul. There was nothing or very little to steal. They also got broke and then called for the return of the Zim dollar.
