Infecting Humans For Vaccine Development | Jasmin Kaur | EAGxCambridge 2023

The UK is the first country to deliberately infect humans with COVID-19 to help develop a vaccine. In this talk, Jasmin addresses the importance of utilising human infection studies in our preparedness against future pandemics. She provides an overview of the current ethical and technical challenges that come with conducting these studies, as well as the recommendations her team has put forward to facilitate the global mission of developing a vaccine within 100 days.
