Sorry to point out the obvious but when you see Navy personnel on combat alert mode not wearing anti-flash gear, it's almost certain they are doing this for show.

Any Navy in this world would wear anti-flash gear during combat ready status, and I am not even from the navy to know that.

Why are you showing this promotional slide show?
Why is there no report, and a map with the positions of the Chinese navy ships around Taiwan, flying path of the fighter jets, and the location where they shoot the rockets to?
People should see that this was a military training for invading Taiwan. Not actors playing a fighter drama.
