Paying off my mortgage early was a pivotal financial move for me. By strategically allocating extra payments, I saved thousands in interest and freed up cash for more investments. It's about optimizing your finances and making your money work for you. Financial freedom is within reach for anyone willing to take the right steps.I wasnt financial free until my 40’s and I’m still in my 40’s, bought my second house already, earn on a monthly through passive income and got 4 out of 5 goals, just hope it encourages someone that it doesn’t matter if you don’t have any of them right now, you can start TODAY regardless your age INVEST and change your futuree.

Back in the day, when I purchased my first home to live-in; that was Miami in the early 1990s, first mortgages with rates of 8 to 9% and 9% to 10% were typical. People will have to accept the possibility that we won't ever return to 3%. If sellers must sell, home prices will have to decline, and lower evaluations will follow. Pretty sure I'm not alone in my chain of thoughts.

I paid up all my mortgages in 2yrs while working with a Financial Adviser. I’m 50 and my husband 54 we are both retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debts. We got to realize that the secret to financial freedom is making better investments.

I’m in Ohio and the housing market here over the last 7-8 years is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Homes that were bought for $130K in 2015 are now being sold for $590k. I’m talking about tiny, disgusting, poorly built 950 square foot shit boxes in quite mediocre neighborhoods. Then you’ve got Better, average sized homes in nicer neighborhoods that were $300K+ 10 years ago selling for $750k+ now. Wild times.

Didn't pay off a current mortgage but downsized from a McMansion and bought my right-sized home free and clear. Debt free for over a decade. Peace of mind is priceless. .

Hi barry, , I’m in tx, i I just payed off my mortgage on Friday ! Today is Saturday so yesterday lol 😂. I did the same thing you did, spoke with my mortgage banker and transferred funds thru my account and will take about 3 days. I’m 57 and retired but still working part time. I have extra money in my savings account for emergency situations hopefully 🤞 nothing in the future. I feel free but I will not feel it till about two-three months when I see my checking account growing. Thank you for making me feel I did the right thing because I feel I did.

As I always tell people, I have yet to meet a person who says, "You know what I regret most, paying off my mortgage..."

Hi Barry. New here. I am documenting my mortgage payoff here on YouTube. I’m making extra payments against principal. I’m very excited to pay off this mortgage and be financially free! By my best calculations I expect to pay off my mortgage by December 2026. I won’t touch my 401k though. Congratulations on paying off your mortgage. 😊. I wish I had the motivation to exercise and lose weight but I can’t seem to get my act together 😢

The issue is that either the renter or the owner must in some way pay insurance and property taxes if they want a "permanent roof" with utilities like electricity, gas and water. Because of this, many people—at least in California, where I currently reside—are living in tents. No taxes, rent, mortgages, or insurance. The number of people who tell me they live in their car that I meet amazes me. Its crazy out here!
