Nice work. (Around the 7-10 second mark, "gotta trim the wire back to", the trimming is the insulation, not the wire.

Isnt nolox suppossed to be worked in with a brush?

This installation does require nolox, but not where it was applied. The crimp lug and conductor are both aluminum, therefore nolox is not necessary, but where the aluminum lug makes contact with the copper bus, nolox should be applied as they are dissimilar metals. Otherwise this will be a good installation once the mechanical connection has been torqued and torque sealed.

Also pear with the razor knife do not ring(unless only scoring), a cut in wire with razor knife will create a hot spot in high current application.

Where do we get those terminal lugs?! They are the best I've seen yet!

Maybe the correct size ring terminal that fits those studs?

What is this for? Solar or a DC charge point or something?

That Penetrox is great on the boat. That salty water eats copper. So when crimp a new connector put Penetrox inside of the connector and on the screws connectors.

Ya, be sure to not knick the conductor with razor knife. I’m sure that was the case here with how speedy this was done.

I always dunk the conductor right into the Noalox instead of putting the Noalox in the connector. Much better spread right into the conductor.
