You either do this full time and dedicate everything you have or forget it. Imagine pro athlete going to work full time at Wendy's and then training like a pro? It won't work. If you need other sources of income you aren't good enough/ready to do this full time. So either become the master of it and be a pro, or just do this recreationally but don't expect to surpass somebody that works twice as much. Just my opinion.

This is 100% accurate. I quit my job at end of year 2021 after having great consistency with trading and making a solid amount. I didn’t blow up my account in the next year, but I sure had a mental breakdown. The stress of trading being your only thing CANNOT be underestimated.
I am now working again with trading as a side hustle and regaining my confidence and my consistency. It really is the best of both worlds to have other revenue streams.

Hey dude, algorithm pushed you in front of me. I quit following you last year, looks like the markets have humbled you a bit. Glad to see you’re still sticking with it. Don’t quit

You are the only one who’s transparent about trading, it is not a gambling, this game require a skills and personality that it is different from any typical person, it is rewarded but extremely hard,

Love it! It took me 3 years to realise the truth.

The mental game is the hardest. Relying on this fulltime only makes that worse. I used to think I could trade and get rid of my day job but I was in a rush. I finally started making money when I stopped caring so much about making a living doing this.

Only way to quit job as trading is if your bank accounts has close to 1 million.

Just realized that after almost a year of trading, yes I can make some money, some days few hundreds or a thousand, some days nothing or down, I am in the red from where I started but I think I am done with the roughest part of the learning curve, I realized this can’t be full time, the market is inconsistent, some times the ATR is almost non existent, and I am a scalper, flat days destroys me, I am going back to school, while fully employed and trading in the days I work from home.

No full time trading Only if you’re a beginner

Isn't that how it supposed to work? The trading supposed to help fund other business ventures? Not having a boss is freedom and taking back your life.

I respect you. And if all someone wants is mediocre results then that is fine! but if you truly want to be a great trader and make a fortune it Hass to be 100% of what you do. The dudes making hundreds of millions of dollars on Wall Street aren’t running around to their day job or other side jobs.
