We LOST steering Cruising the Florida Loop ICW || Okeechobee Waterway || TRAWLER Living || S2E46

We cross the Florida Mini Loop, ICW, Okeechobee water way in Illuminate to our boat for hurricane season and .... we have such a unique opportunity we were invited to and we could NOT say no to. So we bought a car and headed out. We will take a break for a few weeks and return in season 3 to tell you more about it.

We are a young family with 3 boys learning life on a boat. Every week we explore, learn something, fix something, answer something and try to share the true essence of boat life. We also love this boating community. But no matter what your passions are in life and where your life leads you. We want you to enjoy the journey.

Lessons learned. We always keep a bicycle pump by our steering fluid reservoir, because ours will leak down over time. About once a year, we have to pump ours back up to 40 psi (and it's one of things on the checklist I check every outing). We also had a hose blow one time (it had been rubbing against the end of an exposed screw for years, I guess.) It was easy to fix, cleaning up the fluid was the worst part! We keep ATF fluid on hand, in case that happens again, too. Well, you guys have a wonderful adventure so far. We've been thinking about doing the half loop, (up Florida and back down) ourselves. Can't wait to see your adventures doing that. Enjoyed your video, and don't feel bad. Our boat breaks a lot, too!

Having the SAME boat I can relate to every one of ur issues - love it! Finished FORTY ONE radiation treatments TODAY and have a green light to continue MY journey. Once you’ve experienced Bahamas water, ur spoiled - I’ll start going to Bimini now just to swim. Keep up the good work! -Joe
