Cobra seizes control of the G.I. Joe space shuttle, using the shuttle and a series of relay cubes to create a pyramid-like "zone" no vehicle or machine can function in. The Joes must disconnect the cubes before the world is thrown into complete darkness.
*When Mutt reads the card packaged with the Fatal Fluffies, what he reads doesn't match the text on the card. For the last sentence, he reads "I'm sure you will enjoy their deadly secret.", but the card says "I'm sure you will enjoy their amazing "split" personalities.".*

Shipwreck and Snake Eyes continue to evade capture in an effort to get back to the Joe team with vital data about Cobra's control cubes. Meanwhile, G.I. Joe plans to launch a mission to stop Destro from activating the first cube at the Devil's Playground.

Chaos ensues as the leaders of Cobra struggle for control of the Pyramid of Darkness. As Cobra forces battle each other, the Joe team is able to regain control of Space Station Delta and launch a full-scale assault to try to destroy the Pyramid.
In the scene where the Fatal Fluffies revert back to their harmless form, Barbecue and Spirit are seen among the Joes on Delta Station about to charge the Dreadnoks; however, both are supposed to be on Earth.
*In this episode, Extensive Enterprises' headquarters are in a pair of twin towers. In future episodes, the company occupies a single tower, the tallest in the world.*
