led vs hps cost comparison

In this video we test the growing power output of each light to compare against the total cost of ownership over 5 years. You can then see the difference in cost between a typical 600W HPS and a range of big brand LED's.

The grow lights tested are:
600W SE HPS system with an adjust-a-wing reflector, lumatek ballast and plantastar bulb
Spectrum King 400+ with 120deg lense
Budmaster II GOD 6
Lush Dominator 2X
KIND XL750
MIGRO 400

The tent is a Lighthouse 4 x 4
The quantum sensor used is an Apogee SQ500

Thank you for your comment. In the video the lights are all tested for PAR output in a fair and comparable way. Spectrum King are the only other company in this group that publish their PAR output and it is very close to the figure in our tests (allowing for some light loss in getting to the plant canopy). None of the other manufacturers publish this information. If you have information you have gathered by testing the selected grow lights we would be delighted to consider your input.

250 hps runs are 300 watts on transformer...240 multiply 1.25 is 300watts from socket draw...LEDs are good..on price..
