I didn't even know that solo board games existed! Thanks for opening my eyes to a whole new way to remain in solitude!

This game is definitely one of the best solo games out there. Brutally hard but extremely simple to learn, a combination that seems to work almost 100% of the time.

For anyone still doubting solo games: Do you play singleplayer video games? If so, why not singleplayer boardgames? Board games being primarily for multiple people is just a mindset that most people have since most boardgames, *especially* the common boardgames people are exposed to as children (monopoly, sorry, chutes and ladders) are for multiple players. But there's nothing intrinsic to board games that makes them need to have multiple people to be fun and engaging. So yeah. If you ever played Pokemon and enjoyed it, why not try a solo boardgame?

You are never really playing alone, though. Kitty is always watching you, silently judging.

It's funny you mention the possibility of it being a phone game, as there actually is an app for it on Android and iOS!

This game is great! Love how it combines push-your-luck and deck-building so well. It also blends mechanics and theme so you can make it thematic if you want it to be. They have an app now if you want to try it out!

The first few times I played this game, I thought you had to pay life when you lost the fight AND pay extra life to get rid of cards. I never got past yellow. 😂

Does Guess Who? count as a board game? Honestly, that's my favorite.

oh its immersive all right, but you forget the fact that the manual is very vague and you need to study for hours on bgg to get the fine points correct. After that, the game is fantastic. It costs around 10 bucks super cheap also. Games last about 25 minutes and in the end phase the combos are all over the table.
