A cat named Tiger has been reunited with his family after being missing for 11 years.
The cat was found by Carol O'Connell, an animal shelter worker. She started noticing a shy cat near her house. It took her 3 years to gain the cat's trust, but she managed to approach and pet him. The way he responded to her petting him made Carol think that this cat had definitely had a home at some point in his life. She acted on her hunch and took a scanner home from work.
On the microchip, she found information about the cat's owners - John and Maggie Welz. he contacted them and the family was in shock, because the Tiger had been missing for 11 years!
The family had long given up hope, so when they got the call that their cat had been found, they couldn't believe it.
