Thank you soooo much for explaining this and suggesting Corinthians - very helpful ! Another problem I run into is people say Jesus forgives all, now that's not a problem, but when I'm setting boundaries with a person that's had a very dark and dangerous past they will use that on me. Sometimes a person claims to have just found Jesus, which is fabulous, but then they very quickly want to be forgiven and allowed back into people's lives that they abused. Most recently a man wanted to date me, but his past was a long history of domestic abuse, rape, a d even child abuse. I'm a mother with teen children so I said no, I'm sorry, I cannot date you and I was told by him a good Christian forgives and doesn't look at the past. It felt like he was using that to try and manipulate me. I'm wondering what Bible verses are a good rebuttal for that and don't worry I'm not even talking to this man. Thank you so much anyone for any ideas 💡 Much blessings to all 🙏💗🙏💗

Big difference between Judging and observation. A Judge sentences. We are to use our observation skills otherwise how will we know who to choose as friends or not.

Christ of course told in the gospel according to John to judge righteous judgment not according to the appearance. Of course what is written in Matthew chapter 7 brother Matt is a stern warning against tempting God with the wrong kind of judgment that is done the total opposite of what He want's to be done and warned in another book saying ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment its like having the dangerous trap of having respect of persons. Of course there is what is going to happen in Revelation when it says and if any man will hurt them he must in this manner be killed.
