In this video I am talking all things tyres, all things Michelin PS4s tyres, are they any good? Do you need to fit N rated tyres to your Porsche and above all, are they worth the money?
I have had the car on these tyres for a while now and felt it was a good time to update you all on how well or not these PS4S tyres have lasted, What the grip is like in sunny dry weather but also rain.

I hope you enjoy this video! If you do please make sure to give this video a thumbs up and subscribe.

I have a 97 996 Carrera 3.4 Manual and I have ordered a set of thes PS4S in 225/40 R18 and 265/35 R18 as per standard sizes. They are going on the original but refurbished 408 option hollow spoke Turbo twists. I could not get the N rated tyre, as I believe they are not made in this original size any longer. That said, can't wait to get them and give the old girl a good fast run in the hills to enjoy them

Just checked back and my Nov 2021 PS4s fitment of 4 20" tyres to my 981Boxster S was £891

I know in the case of the BMW there are differences in compound and structure of the side of the tread and wall. I imagine Michelin are as accommodating with Porsche chassis technicians. I don’t know what user level would appreciate the difference and I can understand scepticism. These things can be “the King’s new clothes@ particularly if they are charging more money.

I completely understand your reasoning. I was thinking of my situation. But what I found surprising is how different the construction and possibly some of the compound of one tyre to the “unrated” tyres, when the look identical apart from the coding on the tyre wall.

I’ve got these on my Boxster, I’m a bit paranoid about tyres and will always fit the best I can afford

I’ve got Goodyear n rated but I generally change 2 tyres at a time so tend to stick to same brands on all 4 tyres

I’ve never had a complaint about the Goodyear and they are not cheap either

Joe, I have had the same experience of Pilot Sport 4S’ on my 992. The best tyre I have ever used on anything I’ve owned.
One problem (for me) with your video. I found your air freshener dangling from the driving mirror quite irritating in shot, but there is a solution. I hate air fresheners. I haven’t found one that comes close to pleasant. They are overpowering and nauseating. I then tried Chemical Guys - New Car Smell which was reviewed by Forensic Car Detailing. I have no connection with the product, apart from being a very happy user. I lightly spray it onto a microfibre cloth and place it overnight under the driver’s seat. Voila, new car smell.
I hate to admit to eating some fish and chips (an emergency meal) with the door open in the car. Never again. The car reeked of it. In fact I was rather ashamed afterwards. The next morning it was gone. New car smell. It doesn’t impose itself on the car. It’s just a light background odour. Barely noticeable but there. I can’t believe it works, but it does. A spray bottle will probably last me for years, although I have been handing it out to friends. Definitely NO fish and chips, or anything else near my car in future. I hope this helps.

I think the N rating is the biggest sucker retail deal since duty free. PS4S’s non N rates are just as good for a Porsche, you’d never notice the difference

I've never been one for spending serious money on tyres. It's not that I can't afford them, but I always thought that top branded tyres were just a show off agenda. However, , because your always truthful in your content, you've convinced me otherwise. More importantly, thanks again Joe for another good and say it as it is video. Every success to your excellent channel.

Been running MPS4s on my RS3 8P for the past 7 years, got 16k all round on the 1st set Inc over 500 trackday miles would have probably got 25k if used just on the road as I loose 1mm of tread per trackday.
Great all round all seasons tyre.

Have a Cayman S 987.1 going for a bore scope and PPI tomorrow.... 80k km (50k miles) and i am really wanting it to pass.... it will need new rubber in the next 12 months, so i will be getting PS4's on it... love your style and content. cheers man, keep it up

Michelin PS tyres are night and day better than Pirelli P Zero that a lot of Porsche come with

That simply isn't possible lol. If you're driving within the legal limit, you are not driving the car hard. A few canyon runs in the legal limit, literally limits you to driving the car hard LOL. Please don't tell me you're one of those Porsche guys who says he drives his car hard, but never pushes it past 50mph through a corner...

Have PS4s on my Tesla Model 3 and they’re brilliant, 500bhp and they handle it fine in all weather.

Picked up my Cayman S this weekend and it’s on nearly new GoodYear Eagle F1s. These are probably the only other tyre I’d choose, really good dry and wet also.
