The PS5 is not a replacement for the PSS, it’s not as sporty and not meant for track at all.

Michelin often likes bolder wide walls with less stretch if you're trackin. They also work better on very light cars because of soft the wide wall is.

Should've gone for the PS4S as that's the direct successor of the PSS. Anyway would you mind sharing where that PS5 was made? It should be on the sidewall. Also if there's any sort of "ST" marking anywhere

I thought the PS 5s were only available for OEM installation in Europe and Japan.

That "cracking" just hapens on tires used hard. Also if they're old it could mean they do it faster. (Sometimes they sell you older tires) that are not used yet

I also recently noticed why they are cracking so much on my tires and I was thinking about sending them in for a complaint

Pilot Sport 5 are not Trackday tyres!!! Those are touring tyres, if you want Trackday tyres tou should have bought the Pilot Sport 4S!

Moving from super pilot sports as said previous older design .

Moved to ps4S on rear and ps5 on front .

Fitting then this week so I’ll let ya know the difference

got them few weeks ago, before i had china tires.
michelin: better tire compound, deeper grooves.
china: cheaper
But both tires has same huge flaw, thread is not fully mirrored, these tires should not only have outside marking but also left or right side marking on them. but all tires are actually made for left side and that was disapointing by michelin😢
next year il look for continental or goodyear.

Unfortunately my local tyre power is useless and cost lot more for Michelin pilot sport 4 or 5 compared to other tyre shops

Pss is more of a track tyre with higher operating temps and solid side wall. That’s why people prefer the softer daily friendly 4, 4s, 5. I assure u pss are ur best bet for track. Hence why car manufactures put it on their cars

How are you liking these? I have the PSS as well, lovely when dry but unfortunately it rains a lot here in The Netherlands. How do these PS5 feel? Any differences you notice? I hear they grip good but have soft sidewalls. Cheers!

i have Michaline tyers on my GOLF R MK8 less than one year all cracks there. bad one

pilotsport 4s it's for track. Ps5 it's slower it's desigen more for the road. A balance betwen primacy4s and pilotsport 4s
