I’ve NEVER Seen an Overland Camper Trailer Like THIS!

Comparing the Naturnest Rooftop tent against a Hiker Trailer equiped with a 23ZERO on top. Both overland camping setups have pros and cons on the Jeep Gladiator. One is much more convenient than the other. My setup is a traditional overland camper with the rooftop tent on the back, while Jeremy's is the trailer. He can also swap his tent over to his bed, but it is a little less convenient.

I have almost the exact same setup. Hiker highway deluxe 5x9 with 23Zero Walkabout 62 and 270 awning. With kids, we use both trailer and RTT for sleeping. Add a propane Propex 2800 heater and extra large toolbox on tongue. It’s amazing.

My plans are a wedge style roof tent. At this time I’m planning to get the iKamper BDV single person. I’m single, and the 2 person is too wide. A wedge is a couple of minutes up, and a couple of minutes down. Ready to roll. For me, not pulling a trailer is best.

JMHO, I don't do either, off road wise. I sleep inside of my 4Runner and setup a tent for cooking, potty and other things.

I do tow a larger trailer for glamping when I park it at a full hookup campground and explore in the tow vehicle during the day.

Good times! Could use a cinder block for under the jack stand.

Ok, so as I Hiker Owner of the Extreme Off Road (EOR) you do not have the Highway Deluxe (HD) you have a MidRange (MR) and it is a 5x9 in the last few years hiker made it easy to tell if you didn’t know the MR590 check right of your back door is a Midrange 590 or 5x9 I think I would sleep in camper over tent as you have roof insulation and light color or white to reflect sun heat and a roof fan.

Love the Gladiators. I like see the two different setups. My question is how does pulling that trailer affect the height of the headlights in the truck? Pulling my teardrop with my wrangler makes my low beams project very far out and bright. I get just too much squat in the rear for towing after dark without blinding oncoming traffic.
Thanks,
Pat
