My daughter and son in law used to live in Meguro, near the Hinomaru Driving School (it was great to direct taxi drivers) and they always went to the Meguro River for Sakura. It gets really busy there! We always went to visit them in May, the flights were cheaper and the weather was just right for us, but one day I’d like to visit during Sakura.

I have a yoshino in my backyard in TX. Surprisingly it's thriving for me. It's only about 8 feet tall but its my Japan away from Japan. Went to Japan last year during full bloom. It was a dream come true trip.

Cherry blossoms are a symbol of Japan. During "Hanami" (cherry blossom viewing) in Japan, it's considered bad manners to pull on the branches or scatter the flowers. Foreign visitors should be mindful of this cultural etiquette💞🌸💞

It was a such lovely day after that hail and snow we had wednesday!! 😂So many families in the Harumi futo park!! We had the early sakura tree variety in Harumi! Got me some sandwiches and drink and watched the boats today! Spring is in the air! Yay!!
