Working like a champ!!! I started 2 of my buses yesterday. The old 671 and the 8v71 started in about a half revolution! Thanks!

Looking good bud! Glad to see you're still trouble free. Wish i could get my hands on a 4-53T for a reasonable price around me. Detroits intrigue me and Id swap one in a heart beat.

I haven't seen a fuel station in 6 years. Started out with a 6.2 turbo detroit with a blend of wvo and wmo. Now I'm strictly running wmo and trans fluid only because its whats available. My old VE pumped 5.9 loves it and I don't have to run a heat exchanger over my exhaust manifold with a recirculation pump anymore. Still have a heat exchanger in the tank just incase.

I would do it, except that in my country, waste cooking oil ( known as yellow grease ) is a very tight market, and multiple companies are vying for it. However, I have got my father onto using waste motor oil, blended with Aviation Jet-A1 (glorified kerosene) to make black diesel. His Volvo diesel RV is running really well on it ( 30% oil, 70% jet), starts perfect on cold mornings. We would run a richer blend of oil, but all the waste motor oil we have is synthetic and it doesnt burn as easily as mineral waste oil.

how does it run in the heat of summer vs the coldest in winter? any power difference? fuel economy?

Have you ever thought of adding propane injection to this setup?

I'm trying to locate a 7.3 truck so I can run WMO. I have access to thousands of gallons.

I think you said before that it was a 20% diesel cut. Is that still the case?

are you required to declare fuel consumption to Canada Revenue Agency for tax purpose?

I did this in 2005 when I worked at McD's in highschool. Not worth the ungodly mess IMO.
