Hey, If you are new here - I'm Tharun. I'm a final year student at IIT Kharagpur. In this video I would be talking about the entire statistics of the Placements that happened at IIT Kharagpur this year. Placements have not been so easy this year with recession that hit. In this video, I would also be talking about how much impact did the recession have on the placements and how did some students still secure a very good placement - like the highest placement at IIT Kharagpur is through off campus placement drive and not on campus. Bruhh that's like a reality check for every JEE aspirant. That also motivates us that IIT is not everything if you don't clear that doesn't mean your life is over because you can get high earning package from some other institute too.(of course institutes related to your desired field)

I never never never comment on any video. Thanks for showing the reality. I used to regret a lot for not getting into IITs. This simply shows consistency and hard work matter a lot rather than college.

Bhai IIT ki sad realities sirf college me na padhne wale face karte hai. Yes, the placement period can suck but still the degree of IIT is enough to land a good job. Clearing JEE advanced is just the first and most difficult step, that doesn't mean rest of the steps will be easy

I am a dropper but was unable to clear Mains, and my percentile is even less than 50%ile. You can guess right now what my situation is right now: I broke my parents expectations, and they are now scolding me that I have just wasted a huge amount of money (as I am from a middle-class family). I don't know what to do now; I didn't make a second plan. I am just frustrated and depressed. I can't handle this burden anymore.

Hey Tharun, can you cover about the different scopes and field each branch in engg covers? Like you mentioned in the last part of the video, people don't choose these branches due to lack of awareness. I wonder if you could help us in that.

Thanks Tharun for the reality check. Got a slight relief after hearing the stats as here in BITS as well stats are somewhat similar. I thought I chose the wrong college but then recession is for everyone.
